What is the Nielsen Homescan Panel?
When you apply for the Nielsen Homescan Panel, you can become apart of those who influence manufacturers and retailers. Nielsen sends you a scanner which you take to the store when you shop – this includes all retailers, from the grocery store to the mall. You scan (the barcode) of the items you are buying, come home and upload them to Nielsen (either on your computer or phoneline.)

What about the Points?
You earn 150 points for uploading your shopping trips, 100 points for the survey on the store for where you shopped. If you shop at multiple stores each week, multiply the number of stores you shop by 250 in points! The longer you are a member, the larger the point increments become. You’ll earn gift points that are redeemable for name-brand merchandise, including electronics equipment, jewelry, household items, toys, and much more.
They are not accepting all applicants or you may be put on a waiting list. I am currently on a waiting list and hoping to get selected for this one!
